How to Apply Temporary Tattoos: A Step-by-Step Guide

At Rizzor Chase, we want your experience with our temporary tattoos to be smooth, fun, and flawless. Applying your tattoo is simple — just follow the guide below to get the best results.

Materials You’ll Need:

  • Clean, dry skin
  • A temporary tattoo from Rizzor Chase
  • Scissors
  • Damp cloth or sponge
  • Baby oil, rubbing alcohol, or makeup remover (for removal)

Application Steps:

1. Preparation
Start with clean, dry skin. Gently cleanse the area where you want to apply the tattoo to remove any oils, lotions, or dirt. Pat the area dry completely.

2. Cutting
Use scissors to carefully cut out the tattoo you want. Leave a small border around the design to make it easier to handle.

3. Peel Off Clear Film
Remove the transparent protective film from the top of the tattoo. Be sure not to peel off the tattoo itself.

4. Placement
Place the tattoo face down on your skin exactly where you want it. Double-check the positioning before applying moisture.

5. Application
Hold a damp cloth or sponge against the back of the tattoo. Press firmly for 20–30 seconds, making sure the entire backing is thoroughly soaked.

6. Peeling
Lift one corner gently to check if the tattoo has transferred. If not, press the damp cloth back on for a few more seconds. Once transferred, peel the paper off slowly.

7. Drying
Let the tattoo air dry naturally for 1–2 minutes. Do not touch or rub it during this time.

8. Setting
Once dry, gently pat with a soft cloth to help it set. Avoid movement or friction in that area for best results.

Removal:

To remove your temporary tattoo, apply baby oil, rubbing alcohol, or makeup remover to a cotton pad. Gently rub the tattoo starting from the edge until it begins to lift.

Once loosened, wipe away the rest of the tattoo with a clean cloth or rinse with warm water. Avoid harsh scrubbing to prevent skin irritation.

Tips:

  • Don’t apply tattoos over cuts, rashes, or irritated skin.
  • Keep tattoos away from oil-based products, as they can break down the adhesive.
  • For longer wear, avoid applying on areas with constant friction or stretching (like fingers or joints).
